IndyFringe/IWC Short Play Festival 2015 – “Sweet Virginia”

Sweet Virginia is a short play (10 minutes) about a young woman who reunites with her estranged mother in a doctor’s office as she waits for test results that will change her life. Her kooky mother and odd-but-lovable doctor add levity to an otherwise stressful situation.

*****

My debut play, Sweet Virginia, was one of six plays chosen for a first-time Short Play Festival, which took place on April 17-18, 2015 at the Indy Eleven Theatre, the new addition to IndyFringe’s main theater in Indianapolis, Indiana. I created this play in 2014 during a 5-week playwriting class through the Indiana Writers Center.

Each of the six plays was produced by a different local theatre company, which was responsible for casting and directing to make the plays production-ready. Sweet Virginia was produced by the Khaos Company Theatre (KCT). Click here to read more about the wonderful actors and director who brought my words to life on the stage.
