“Night Train” – Suffield Players’ 2016 New Faces Program
On August 20, 2016, my 10-minute play, “Night Train,” was performed at Mapleton Hall Theatre in Suffield, CT as part of the Suffield Players New Faces Program. Approximately 40 people attended the matinee and the 115+ seat theatre was filled to the brim for the evening performance!
Suffield’s New Faces is designed to teach, develop and inspire theatrical talent. They advertise the program, register participants, and then assign them to plays matched to their experience levels and unique gifts. There is a team of at least five or six directors every year, each one directing a new play. New Faces performers are often brand new to theatre, or to our Mapleton Hall stage. This year they are also mentoring several new directors…a much needed asset for regional community theatres! There have several seasoned actors signed up to benefit the new directors’ learning and experience.
