The Prop Master (Full-Length)

The Vestige Theatre, an historic Broadway theatre, is closing after nearly 100 years and everything, including the props, is being donated to East Central High School–a local inner-city school–but, Samuel Baldrik, the theatre’s long-time prop master, has been dragging his feet. The story weaves in and out of memory scenes as Samuel struggles with the anniversary of his wife’s passing, the theatre closing, and the loss of his props and the memories they hold. Just when it seems that Samuel’s life could not get more complicated, enter Jaylah, a sharp-witted student from East Central High School assigned to help pack the props. An interloper? In Samuel’s sanctum sanctorum? Oh, dear! Immediately, the sparks fly between Samuel and Jaylah, but will this budding young actress be the one to save him?
